TLDR: Get the Banbanji (Sesame Ramen). A gem in San Mateo Saturday 4/8/23 ~12:30pm, $23.23 after tip Seated immediately (bar) - 12 min 30 sec order-to-bowl ~~~~~~~~~ Banbanji (Sesame Pork) Ramen ~~~~~~~~~ Final Score: 8.105/10 (8.1/10) Noodles: Some of the best egg noodles in the area. Wavy, thick, and very chewy. If you're a fan of thicker-style noodles, this is a great spot. The noodles had strong flavors and textures, and were substantial enough to stand up to the rich sesame broth. They even cut the noodles shorter than usual so they are easier eat. (8.4/10) Broth: Rich, thick, flavorful, with a powerful sesame punch. The broth is true to its sesame-namesake flavor while not being too oily. The broth is definitely on the heavier side, but packs such strong pork-sesame flavors. Little chunks of Banbanji chicken were distributed with every slurp. Very tasty. Very good.

Simple ordering. Pick your broth type and meat. Sit and enjoy delicious bowl of ramen with a broth packed full of flavor. Their stewed pork belly is tender and has the right about of salt. Perfect lunch spot.

One of my favorite ramen places in San Mateo. Service is always super kind and friendly. food was amazing as always, especially on a cold day. No wait on a Thursday night! Can get busy on weekends though so be prepared.

Its been a cool minute since I was here last but this place is the standard for Ramen. I wish the East Bay had something close to Ramen Dojo. Menu and options have changed which makes me want come back to try them all This places will not disappoint. Spicy pork ramen where you choose your spice level is a great starting point. Venture to others. So so delicious and satisfying. Even better as the weather cools If in the San Mateo area there are a number of ramen shop you should try and Dojo is definitely one of them.

It has been a while since I have been here, but I am glad I made it back. They have updated their menus to include a "Special Menu" which has more options available. Sorry, I forgot to take pics of the menus but other people have posted them. There were 5 of us and the only options available to us was the bar area which was totally fine. If you have not been here before, it is a small local ramen spot so hard to come here if you are in a big group. Service: 4/5 The lady working the bar area was friendly but hard to understand some times. She always checked and refilled my water because I drink a lot of water. Have to stay hydrated
